Christmas in Bowmnaville!!

It snowed! Looks like it will be a white christmas and then the snow can get lost!
Frank was really curious about the snow. He went out when it was snowing. He will go out now but he won't stay out for very long.
I will put up some pics of him in the snow...and of our christmas tree.

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday!

day 2!

day one!

Living room reno

This is the living room. Pretty sparse,eh!
We are laying new bamboo flooring. It is a beautiful walnut finish. Why Bamboo? Well, blog-reader, it is a very durable flooring. Also it is a green option, because it grows so fast it ends up replenishing in half the time as a normal tree.
I will post more pics of the process. We went from kitchen and computer chair to beautiful new floor and couch!

Frank the Cat

This is Francis Gaylord Skene. My sister got him from the pound 5 years ago. I adopted him from here and we have been together ever since. It was love at first sight. I think he is a Siberian. He is exactly how the internet describes him. Very talkative, he will meet me at the door and tell me all about his day. He knows his name and will respond if asked a question. His comedic timing is amazing! He is also extremely affectionate and will follow me around everywhere. Siberians are a dog-like breed. I think you can tell from the picture that he definitely has a personality! Oh and he super fat!
We actually don't use that word..baggy instead.

James and Krista

Well, it all started 15 years ago. I made friends with the new headband-wearing girl in my class. Her name was Kate and she has been my best friend ever since. Kate has two older brothers, James and Steve. That's right, I am dating my best friends brother. We have liked each other pretty much since day one. It totally makes sense that we ended up together. We both have the same sense of humour. We always say things at the same time. It seems sometimes like he can read my mind. I am forever thinking that he is the perfect person for me. I am really lucky!

The View!

This is view from our little bungalow. The road, maybe some cows. Pretty nice, eh?
It is a lot different view from my last place. It was the Toronto skyline running north/south reaching approximately Eglinton. It was absolutely beautiful at night. Definitely the selling feature of the apartment. The apartment was a one bedroom located on the border of Regent Park and Cabbagetown. As far as living situations in Toronto go, it wasn't that bad. That was the first time that I have ever lived alone. I really enjoyed parts of the experience. But I definitely prefer living with someone who enjoys the same things as I do. We tend to just hang out at home watching the "Speed" channel, drinking booze, and laughing. We are very funny people! Some might say our humour is inappropriate, even childish. But we do know how to have a good time!

New Blog!

Hello!
Welcome to my new blog! This blog is to document my new life in Bowmanville! I moved here from Toronto a month on 21st. I have spent the previous weeks just living. I have felt lazy and a little bit useless due to being unemployed. But I have been trying to keep busy by doing household tasks and job hunting. No job yet! I am sure that I will get one soon. Hopefully I will find a part-time retail position so that I can start school, possibly in the spring.
The reason I moved here was to live with my wicked awesome boyfriend. He owns a house with a nice large yard. I decided that it was time to leave Toronto. I lived there for about 7 years and it was a good experience for me. But I was sick of the attitude of people and feeling like I wasn't advancing in life, just sitting stagnant, waiting for my life to start.
So here I am starting my life!
Stay tuned to see what is happening in Bowmanville!!
